ASIS&T at UNC has grown dramatically over the past couple of years. We're working to provide more relavent events for IS student in SILS (but, of coure, we love when LS students participate as well!). The President is responsible for all final decision-making dealing with planning, meetings, group coordination, marketing, and campus events. Decisions must be made with board approval and if there is disagreement, decisions will be based on majority rule. The President is also responsible for dealing with all Student Union officials and the Industry Advisor.
The Vice President shall assist the President when needed for special events and planning, as well as securing rooms for meetings. This individual is also responsible for conducting meetings if the President cannot attend due to illness or other conditions that are outside of the President's control. The maximum length of term for Vice Presidents will be one year.
The Secretary is responsible for keeping records of monthly board meetings, main meetings, putting together a weekly newsletter for the listserv, working closely with the webmaster to keep the news section of the site up to date, and also providing critical feedback to the board.
The Treasurer is responsible for the group's budgeting and fundraising.
The Webmaster is responsible for maintaining the ASIST UNC-CH website and adding in any new suggestions based on feedback from the executive board.
