a) research Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease using the search techniques covered in the information searching lab class. Take a position that CJD has a genetic cause or not (for at least some variants). Write a summary with supporting evidence to support your conclusion. (2 pages)

b) for a research rotation you have done, or project you have worked on, write up the metadata standard, or ontology, that was used as part of your project, and how it was useful. If you haven't used one, research and find one that would have been appropriate the project. Some example ontologies: Gene Ontology, EcoCyc, TAMBIS, RiboWeb; and metadata (MGED for microarrays, Gene Ontology, caCORE, etc). (2 pages).
