Project 7 clarification/addendum – Project 7 specifies that your form should include two password fields and that the second one should be for verification. You need to add a verification to the "form level verification" items that checks to see if the two password fields contain the same value. If the passwords do not match, display an error message to the right of the first password field that says, "passwords do not match". |

Two announcements: For Project 3, several students have noted that if you use a varchar(256) in a MySQL create table statement, that it will automatically convert this to a "text" field. In addition, MySQL may convert char(4) to varchar(4). These "autoconversions" are okay -- just let them happen. The test data file "bigrecords.txt" for Project 3 is now posted. I have sent an email to the listserv describing how to access it. |

As discussed in class, the pages you create for Project 1 should look as close as possible to the original pages, but if you are having trouble making them match exactly, do not worry too much – deductions will be very small for very small differences. However, do note that you have access to the original HTML, so you should be able to get the pages to match very closely since you can look at all the borders, colors, etc. Also note that although I do expect your pages to work in multiple browsers, for this assignment only, you can request that your pages be tested in either IE 6 or Firefox 1.5. The default is that I will test in Firefox 1.5. If you want me to test your submission in IE 6, indicate that in the notes field when you submit using Blackboard. |
