Group Usability Evaluation Project

The semester project for this course is a small group project to design, conduct, analyze, and present results of a usability evaluation.  Groups of 3 to 4 students will be assigned based on a background questionnaire.  Each group will decide on a system to be analyzed.  Written deliverable reports will be due as shown below.  More details on the structure of each report will be posted.

 

1.    Identify system, users, and high-level tasks to be evaluated, determine goals – due Sept 7

2.    Cognitive walkthrough – due Sep 28

3.    Usability evaluation test plan (draft) – due Oct 12  due Oct 19

4.    Usability evaluation test plan (final) – due Oct 26  due Nov 2

5.    Written report of analysis, findings, and recommendations – due Nov 23  due Nov 30

6.    Presentation to the class – due Dec 7
