ILSSA is the Information and Library Science Student Association of the School of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The officers of ILSSA are the liaisons between SILS students and faculty, SILS students and SILS alumni, and SILS students and the GPSF.

We strive to provide feedback to SILS faculty and staff that accurately reflects the sentiments of the student body. In addition, we organize activities to bring students and/or faculty and students together. ILSSA also arranges for new students to have a mentor student within SILS to ease the transition into the program.

Membership in ILSSA is open to all graduate and continuing studies students enrolled at the School of Information and Library Science.

Upcoming Events: SCALA Ice cream social

You deserve it. Last week of the semester: you're stressed. What you need to do is treat yourself. Better yet -- let SCALA treat you... to a sinfully, decadent frosty dessert. The plan: 1. You get free ice cream in the Manning Public Domain (lobby) 2. You pile high as many juju bees and sprinkles as you want (you deserve it) 3. You enjoy your goodness with your friends and participate in fun yard game in front of Manning. Croquet anyone?
