Only students, faculty and staff of the School of Information and Library Science may check out equipment from the SILS ITS lab.
Note that paper manuals are available for checkout along with the equipment itself.
Multimedia Equipment
The lab has 4 digital still cameras (Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50, Sony Mavicas MVC-CD300, Sony DSC-F717), 2 camcorders (Sony CCD-TRV68 Hi8, Canon GL2 Digital Video), 2 GPS Units (Sony GPS-CS1KA), 1 Wireless Presenter (Kensington Wireless Presenter), and 1 voice recorder (Olympus DS2000) for SILS students, faculty and staff to check out.
- SILS faculty, staff, masters and Ph.D. students may check out multimedia equipment overnight and up to 24 hours. If the 24-hour period is not sufficient, members of the SILS community have a one-time option to renew the item; however, the user must come back in to the checkout desk to do this.
- ILS minors, majors and people who are taking a SILS class can check out equipment for a maximum of eight hours or until the lab closes, whichever comes first.
