Mount Mitchell State Park
ACCESS TO MOUNT MITCHELL STATE PARK RESTRICTED

Pilot Mountain State Park
The entire Mountain Section of Pilot Mountain State Park is completely open (all trails are open). The Corridor/Bridle Trail which lies between the Mountain Section and the Yadkin River Section is closed due to flood damage. The Horne Creek Trail in the Yadkin River Section - North Side remains closed due to flood damage.

South Mountains State Park
South Mountains State Park in Burke County will continue to remain closed for the foreseeable future due to extensive road and trail bridge damage as a result of flooding caused by Hurricane Frances. click here for more info
