ALISE FIRST-TIMERS' BREAKFAST:

Thanks to Jane B. Robbins, Dean of Florida State University, for this information.

The breakfast attempts to break the ice with first-timers with an orientation that explains the structure and opportunities within the Association. It clarifies the committee and special interest group (SIG) structure. It reviews the themes of interest as illustrated by the conferences of the past several years. Information is shared about how the Association has been beneficial for faculty and others interested in education within the profession. It helps people understand the structure of the ALISE conference as well as the Association as a whole, thereby optimizing the first-timer's attendance. It also clarifies acronyms and other aspects of the Association that, seemingly, only the experienced understand.

The First-Timers' Breakfast is the first scheduled event of the first full day of the conference. All are welcome. Please join us!
