Abstract:

So you've completed your dissertation or journal article  and have been invited to present your work. Now what? This year's Doctoral Students SIG conference program  includes a panel of veteran faculty members who will address the process of conversion and share their views on what constitutes a quality presentation. Speaking from experience, panelists will address what works and what doesn't in the presentation of academic/research papers. The panel will field questions from SIG participants.

Following the panel presentation and discussion, Convener Elect Cynthia Manley (Tennessee) will be introduced to our SIG as our SIG Convener of 2002-2003. A brief discussion will be held to address plans and concerns for the coming term.
