AMLISS would like to get SILS students interested in art museums and art librarianship together to attend
the grand opening of Duke's new art museum. Check out the events calendar on their website http://www.duke.edu/web/duma/. The week of September 26 will feature an array of
events celebrating the new museum, including a talk given by Raymond D. Nasher and the museum's architect on September 27th,
at the Carolina Theatre in downtown Durham. For the grand opening, AMLISS is organizing a group of students to carpool to the
Museum and enjoy the festivities, to include live art, good food at the cafe, and a panel discussion at 5pm. Contact AMLISS
members via the AMLISS listserv (amliss@listserv.unc.edu) to organize carpools.
