Please join AMLISS at a presentation by Neil Fulghum about the place of museums and material culture artifacts in the academic institution. As the North Carolina Collection Gallery website states, "the Gallery, which opened in December, 1989, is part of a long history at UNC of utilizing museum objects as educational tools." Its predecessors date back to the founding of the university itself in the late eighteenth century. Neil will be giving us a tour of the Gallery and talk to us about the relationship between libraries and museums. Contact AMLISS
members via the AMLISS listserv (amliss@listserv.unc.edu) for more information.
