Liberty Photo Gallery

Thus far I have four photo albums full of Statue of Liberty photos that either my self or other friends have taken. They live just below the "Shrine to Liberty" inside the china cabinet. A few select ones I have framed and are hanging in my bedroom. Here are some liberties of all shapes, sizes, and colors.

Here is a photo taken by my former neighbor Todd Brayson of Middletown, Pennsylvania. He was vacationing in NYC the summer of '85, when Lady L was ensconced with scaffolding for her face- and bodylift.

Macy's Department Store in NYC has one in nearly every color!

(Note the large bag for toting lots of liberties!)

This is a scan of the brochure that accompanied the SoL limited edition commemorative plate created by Pickard, America's answer to Limoges of France. In fact, their slogan is "America's Finest China." (Pickard also has a collectors' club!)

I traded this at Replacements, Inc. of Greensboro, NC for some of my Blue Ridge Pottery. The craftsmanship is superb! It's probably the finest SoL piece I own (although not the most prized).

Brian Snyder, a SoL collector friend, proposed to his wife Kim at the feet of Lady Liberty. Ovideu Collea, owner of Colbar Art Inc., the company that produces so many of the Liberty statuettes, presented them with a special silver plated statue which included an engraved plaque, especially created to commemorate the marriage proposal.
