Research and Advising

My research focuses on metadata problems and solutions (metadata generation, web semantics/linked data, ontological engineering, and knowledge organization). I am interested in all things metadata; I enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration and working with motivated students. The SILS Metadata Research Center (MRC) has been established to advance metadata approaches and our theoretical and practical understanding of metadata. Please explore the MRC's site to learn about specific projects and research opportunities.

Student Communication

Please meet with me during my scheduled office hours: Wednesday 3:30-6:30 PM; or by appointment. My email time is limited to items that truly need to be addressed via email, and I'd rather meet with you in person.
