An LSTA grant-funded evaluation of the effectiveness of the State Library of North Carolina's statewide chat-based virtual reference service, from the perspectives of the collaboration as a whole, the individual libraries participating in the collaboration, and the patrons utilizing the service. A three-round Delphi study that focuses on the variables that should be included in studies of online searching behaviors and the strengths and weaknesses of measures that might be used for some of these variables. A Microsoft Research-funded project that examines the annoation behaviors of users or creaters of structured data. My participation centers on how cataloguers make notes in the process of creating a web directory of a particular subject, and how librarians make notes in the process of inter-library loan. |
