Greetings!
I am an Assistant Professor
in the
School of Information and Library Science
at the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
I currently conduct research on the NSF-sponsored
ResultsSpace
project to investigate tools and interfaces to help users
manage and collaborate on results found from web searches.
I am part of the
Interaction Design Lab
at UNC.
My research interests are primarily in the areas of human-computer interaction,
personal information management, collaborative information seeking,
information sharing and syncronization, and
digital information seeking behaviors and interfaces.
My work is unified by an interest in how people find, refind, manage and
share electronic information, and how technology can help support these tasks.
This work has implications for how people interact with and manage the increasing
amounts of digital information they encounter individually and in collaboration with others.
My Ph.D. is in Computer Science from Virginia Tech, where I worked with
Dr. Manuel Pérez-Quiñones
and was part of the
Center for Human-Computer Interaction.
In the summer of 2006, I moved to Chapel Hill
and worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow and Research Scientist with
Dr. Gary Marchionini.
