  • Film Index International. London: British Film Institute, 1997.
UL NonPrint Collection CD-ROM Serial #65-8

Based on databases compiled by the British Film Institute, this CD-ROM version of Film Index International contains details of over 90,000 entertainment films dating back to the 1930 introduction of sound, and further back in the case of major silent filmmakers, as well as biographical information and filmographies for approximately 38,000 personalities. The records are generously hyperlinked, and most include annotated references to reviews and articles from periodicals published internationally. Selecting "references" from either Allen's biographical record or the film records yields citations for countless useful articles and reviews.
