WWW Resources
The following links will provide not only hours of amusement for Woody Allen fans, but also fairly comprehensive listings of his films, as well as works both by and about him.
This site lists Allen's films and writings, as well as biographies and critical analyses of him and his work. While the list is neither exhaustive nor annotated, it represents a fairly comprehensive bibliography of works by and on Woody Allen through the mid-1990s. Most thorough in its listing of critical works in book form, this site also refers to a significant number of articles and book chapters devoted to him.
This frequently updated site contains a wealth of material on Woody Allen. Each title in the comprehensive filmography is hyperlinked to details such as main credits, music credits, quotes, and trivia, and its plot summary can be reached via an external link to The Internet Movie Database. A listing of works by and on Allen is supplemented by links to full scripts from two of his films. The internet resources could use refreshing, but links to a Woody Allen newsgroup, a mailing list, and some of the other related sites are active. A host of images and audio clips make this site great for browsing.
Last updated in 1996, this site contains a few features not found in the other fan site above: brief biographical notes and a timeline of interesting events in Allen's life, several essays on Allen and his films, one of Allen's short stories, and concise synopses for each of his films to that date.
