Our course addresses development, organization and survival skills for small entrepreneurial companies by emphasizing new concepts and products and teamwork in the 21st century workplace. A weekly seminar with successful information technology entrepreneurs will be conducted using a video link with NCSU.

The course is coordinated by Tom Miller, professor of electrical and computer engineering at NCSU. The UNC site will be coordinated by Joanne Gard Marshall, dean and professor at SILS. The SILS section of the course will emphasize entrepreneurship in information technology and services.

Students will work in groups to create and design a high-tech information product or service. In addition to the weekly seminar each team will meet weekly with a faculty advisor or teaching assistant who will monitor progress and offer advice.
