This web site collects some resources about DICOM. It
will help myself in a research project in Radiology Research Lab in University
of North Carolina at chapel hill. You can learn something about
DICOM by reading related books and papers
in this digital library. If you plan to do some serious work
in DICOM, firstly, you need to get a specification of this
protocol in the standard section.
After known some "rules", you also need some tools.
I collected some information about these software,
dealing with image in DICOM format. In the real implementation
of DICOM world, you will meet a lot of new problems or bugs.
You can get some help from a news group: comp.protocols.dicom.
